Continued Evaluation:

The Koss Pro4AAAT is an overall great buy for people who listen to music a lot or people who are DJs. The headphones also seem to be very durable especially since they are immense in size. Another item to talk about is the headphone‘s case. The case is just a little bit bigger then the headphones themselves so that they fit in the case without moving or bouncing around. The case is somewhat hard so if you dropped it, the headphones might take a little to no damage depending on how it is dropped. It’s clear to me though that any serious music lover or DJ would love to have a pair of Koss Pro4AAAT headphones.

iPhone OS or Android OS?

In September, ChangeWave surveys showed an increase of preference for the Google Android operating system. However, the iPhone OS still remains the number one preference. The ChangeWave surveys show that after the huge jump due to the release of the iPhone 4 in June, iPhone OS preference decreased from 50% to 38%. It also states that Google Android OS preference increased from 30% to 37%. BlackBerry Research in Motion’s operating system preference increased from 5% to 6%. Windows Mobile preference decreased from 2% to 1%.

ChangeWave surveys also report satisfaction rates of the operating systems based on the percentage of people that are very satisfied with his or her operating system. 74% of customers who use the Apple iPhone OS are very satisfied. 65% of customers who use the Google Android OS are very satisfied. The satisfaction rate of the Apple iPhone OS and the Google Android OS are high compared to the satisfaction rate of the Palm OS/Web OS, BlackBerry RIM OS, and Windows Mobile. The Palm OS/Web OS satisfaction rate is a mere 32%. The BlackBerry RIM OS satisfaction rate is only 31% and the Windows Mobile satisfaction rate is only 24%.

In conclusion, the Google Android operating system is becoming the next best operating system, while the current number one operating system, the Apple iPhone operating system, is declining. The ChangeWave surveys demonstrate the upward momentum of the Google Android operating system and the downward momentum of the Apple iPhone operating system. Certain features are probably the reason behind the decline in the Apple iPhone operating system preference. The iPhone OS now allows you to multitask and organize folders, but the Android operating system already had those features. What do you think?

Quick Tip: Want to find out which applications are downloading?

Most of the time when I go and get all my updates from the App Store, I just click download all, but once I do this, they all disappear from the App Store update section.  So if you want to find out which of your applications are downloading check out this tip.  The best way to find out which ones haven’t started downloading, but are waiting to download, just type in the spotlight search “Waiting”(without the quotes).  You should end up seeing something similar to this:

If you want to find which application specifically is downloading, just type in “Loading”(Again, without the quotes).  You should see a screen like this(If you want to find out why this occurs keep reading after the break):

This occurs, because when an application begins to download from the App Store it changes the name briefly to show you which are downloading or waiting, and in case the App Developer has decided on a name change, it wants to be able to change the name in a way that doesn’t seem sporadic, so you will be able to find your app after is upgrades.

Quick Look is a quick preview feature developed by Apple. It operates on the Mac OS X v10.5 “Leopard”. The Quick Look feature instantly let’s you preview your documents without ever having to open them. All it takes is a single click and your files are presented to you instantly. Quick Look works with almost every file including PDF documents, movies, Keynote presentations, Mail attachments, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files. Make the most of your Quick Look feature because it is just that handy. You can listen to songs, flick through movies, and more without even having to open up the document.

There are many features such as the index sheet, zooming and examining your trashed files. The index sheet feature allows you to look at many different windows without having to flick through them one by one. The previews of each file will shrink down to one grid, once you click on one window; it will automatically open up to full size. To zoom into different objects, you hold down the option key and a magnifying glass will appear. To zoom in and out, you use the scroll wheel on the mouse. To put a whole bunch of files into your trash is a complete hassle. Not only do you have to examine each one very closely, but once you trash them they are usually gone forever or you have to replace them back onto your desktop. Luckily Quick Look works with items in your trash so that you can quickly go thorough them to check if you deleted anything important.

Quick Look is actually very handy because it makes your life easier and less complicated. Quick Look makes your computer hassle free and finding documents are easier then ever. The time machine allows you to store your documents once you trashed them. When you go back to check the document, Quick Look is there to help you look at the file quickly and then restore it back onto your desktop. Quick Look doesn’t just look in the finder, but also your Mail and iChat. If you receive an email with a bunch of attachments, you can use Quick Look to put them all onto a grid and see the attachments all at once. Many people always need to find that one document that you saved many years ago. Quick Look helps you go through those hundreds of documents you saved quickly.
